The
magnetic tumbler "M3-M4" is made of a series of magnetic
blocks immersed in a supporting flange, which rotates either slowly or quickly
inside the supporting base. A circular tank is positioned on top
of this and then filled with water, in which stainless steel AISI 420-c
needles (diameters mm. 0.3 / 0.5, length mm. 5/10/14) are then
immersed. The magnetic blocks make the needles turn in a particular rotary
movement. The machine is predisposed to automatically invert the
directional movement of the needles causing them to rotate in a contrary
direction during the treatment, this producing a brightening effect which is
very effective. Inside the tank, other than water, diluted soap and
detergents are used to act as brighteners. The resulting effect is
similar to a finely sanded finishing and polishing which creates an optimum
mask to cover and eliminate superficial defects. One is not to think
that the treatment leaves a particular opaqueness (because it is sanded), bbut rather, the surface at the end of treatment becomes
shiny and very uniform. One clear example comes from the
treatment of objects, which are very small and complex, where the action of
the process fovor tiny, hidden, and deep
indentations or cracks. The optimal time of treatment varies from a
minimum of thirty minutes to a maximum of two hours, which can be
regulated by the predeisposed time panel.
There is a speed regulator, as well, which permits the optimization to the
maximum quality of finishing according to the delicacy or hardness of the
materials to be treated. To separate the pieces from the needles, it is
advised to sift the pieces under running water, thusly obtaining a quick
separation. We advise that only clean and ungreased pieces be puty in this treatment, so as to avoid dirtying the
brightening compost for future uses. |
